Fotona 3D is a combination treatment that includes SMOOTH™, PIANO®, and FRAC3®. The addition of the FRAC3® allows us to target and treat specific skin imperfections.
SMOOTH™
This revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG intraoral treatment uses controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction. It shrinks collagen fibers and stimulates new collagen production. These effects result in an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity in the treated tissue as well as a plumping effect to the nasolabial folds.
PIANO®
This unique, ultra-long pulse Nd:YAG laser is made to quickly and safely heat tissue from the outside-in. The laser uses a brushing technique to tighten your skin evenly.
FRAC3®
This non-ablative laser enables the treatment of specific, deep imperfections in the skin. This process complements the effect of the prior two treatments while enhancing your skin texture.
What Does This Treatment Address?
This treatment takes little time, much like a dermal filler. However, unlike a filler, this combination is non-invasive and therefore carries no injection-related side effects. The first two devices induce collagen production to create greater fullness and tightness in the face. The third addresses aging skin signs like wrinkles, flushing, and hyperpigmentation.
What is the Treatment Like?
First, the SMOOTH™ handpiece will be used on the inside of your mouth. The laser heating will trigger collagen production. Then, the PIANO® device will be used on the surface of your skin to complete the procedure. Finally, the FRAC3® system will be used to address textural issues on the surface of your skin.
What Results Can I Expect?
There is no downtime after the treatment, and you can continue your daily activities right away. There may be mild redness and swelling for 1-2 days, but no bed rest is required. Most patients will see some immediate results, with optimal results appearing over a period of 2-3 months.
