Dr. Engelbrecht attained his medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and also completed an internship alongside medical officer training at the Kimberley Hospital Complex.
Dr. Engelbrecht is a regular attendee to industry workshops, always on the lookout for the most up to date treatments and products to offer his patients through these state of the art procedures. His most recent accomplishment saw Dr. Engelbrecht be awarded a Diploma in Dermatology with distinction from the Australian Institute of Dermatology.

Jane Cunningham – Clinic Director
Jane became an Aesthetician because of a lifelong passion for beauty and fashion. In her role as Clinic Director she will ensure to enhance the professional development and training of all clinical staff. Jane is also trained and certified from the Esthetic Institute and is specially trained in the Fotona SP Dynamis, Darwin LUVO, Bela MD+ and EMSCULPT NEO. With a keen interest in emerging trends in Medical Aesthetics, Jane helped select the equipment and treatment menu at Lavana. Jane lives in Mahogany with her Husband and 3 kids. Jane’s favourite aspect of Aesthetic treatments is watching the transformation that takes place and gaining back the confidence for each client as they embark their Aesthetic journey.
Jessica Lemon RN, BN – Advanced Nurse Injector
Jessica is an Advanced Nurse Injector and Registered Nurse with over 15 years experience in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing, including teaching at the University. She has a passion for education, health, beauty and aesthetics and knows the importance of having confidence in oneself and the impact it can have on everyday life. Jessica strongly believes in the connection between looking good and feeling good. Her passion for aesthetics and skill, paired with her warmth and enthusiasm, make her an excellent nurse to help you look and feel your absolute best.
Jenna Awalt – Lead Medical Aesthetician
Jenna has been in the medical and aesthetics field for over a decade. She knew that medical aesthetics and customer service were her passion long ago and it turned out that Lavana Medical Aesthetics was the perfect fit. She decided she wanted to grow with a medical aesthetics clinic that truly believes in treating patients with gold standard technologies. She has learned from fabulous clinics within Calgary and has fulfilled her dream of continually learning as technology is constantly evolving. She works comfortably in all areas of the industry, from helping the providers, to day-to-day office duties, and of course medical aesthetics treatments/consulting. She enjoys pairing her medical background and artistic eye to provide patients with a holistic and comprehensive treatment experience, giving patients the best recommendations for great results.
She has distinguished strengths in enhancing patient’s personal appearances using the latest technology and continued higher education. She possesses a special talent for analyzing skin, performing consultations, and determining a successful plan of treatment for the best result.
