SMOOTH™ Mode works from the inside out! It delivers a gentle pulse of laser light at low speeds, making it safe for use inside the mouth. The laser is directed at the mucosa membrane within the mouth to target the underlying tissues of the inner cheeks. This controlled thermal effect triggers a wound healing response and stimulates collagen remodeling in the treated area.
Nd: YAG laser uses Piano Mode to produce heat slowly into the skin’s subcutaneous layers. Piano Mode uses a technique known as photo-thermolysis to apply laser heat to the dermis. In the treated regions, the cellular activity is increased, which alters the dermal architecture.
Piano Mode works by promoting collagen stimulation, which in turn enhances cellular activity within the skin’s structures. This increased collagen production strengthens the skin’s structure and improves its appearance, leading to reduced lines and wrinkles and tighter skin.
This non-ablative laser enables the treatment of specific, deep imperfections in the skin. This process complements the effect of the prior two treatments while enhancing your skin texture.
This treatment takes little time, much like a dermal filler. However, unlike a filler, this combination is non-invasive and therefore carries no injection-related side effects. First, the SMOOTH™ handpiece will be used on the inside of your mouth. The laser heating will trigger collagen production. Then, the PIANO® device will be used on the surface of your skin to complete the procedure. Finally, the FRAC3® system will be used to address textural issues on the surface of your skin.
There is no downtime after the treatment, and you can continue your daily activities right away. There may be mild redness and swelling for 1-2 days, but no bed rest is required. Most patients will see some immediate results, with optimal results appearing over a period of 2-3 months.
