Fotona 2D is a combination treatment that includes SMOOTH™ Mode and PIANO®. This system works intraorally to stimulate collagen production from within your mouth. Then, it works on the skin’s surface to tighten and lift the surface of your skin. Fotona 2D treatment stimulates the body’s natural supply of collagen, which results in a tightening effect on the skin.
SMOOTH™ Mode works from the inside out! It delivers a gentle pulse of laser light at low speeds, making it safe for use inside the mouth. The laser is directed at the mucosa membrane within the mouth to target the underlying tissues of the inner cheeks. This controlled thermal effect triggers a wound healing response and stimulates collagen remodeling in the treated area.
Nd: YAG laser uses Piano Mode to produce heat slowly into the skin’s subcutaneous layers. Piano Mode uses a technique known as photo-thermolysis to apply laser heat to the dermis. In the treated regions, the cellular activity is increased, which alters the dermal architecture.
